Joely + Jack’s London Wedding at The Charterhouse & The Libertine

A Timeless London Wedding (2025) The Charterhouse & The Libertine

When Joely and Jack first enquired with me about their 2025 London wedding, I was so excited. They’d be getting married at The Charterhouse and The Libertine in London and wanted a photographer who could capture the romantic, moody feel of their venues and styling. Joely described a candlelit dinner at The Libertine for their Wedding Breakfast, and I was immediately sold. Needless to say, I was so thrilled the couple booked me.

The Wedding Day

Joely spent her morning getting ready with her girls. Her hair and makeup were by @lydia_london_hair and dress by @evieyoungbridal/@abigailscollection.

Jack got ready with his groomsmen at the same hotel as Joely, so I was able to capture some of his morning, too. Usually, when couples are getting ready at separate locations, a second photographer is also booked to capture both sides of the morning. Read more about my Second Photographers here.

Joely had a first look with her dad in the hotel lobby, which was such a sweet emotional moment.

The ceremony was held at The Charterhouse, inside the Norfolk Cloister. The space is beautifully moody, perfect for intimate weddings.

We shot Joely and Jack’s portraits in the Washhouse Court, a beautiful historical courtyard with cobblestone brickwork. We were so lucky to ctach plenty of sunshine throughout the day.

Cocktail hour and Group Portraits were held in The Charterhouse Square, a beautiful pocket of quiet amidst the bustle of London.

The reception was spent at The Libertine, where the couple and their friends and family enjoyed a candlelit dinner, speeches and lots of dancing.

Why I love the Libertine for London Weddings

The Libertine is such a beautiful venue, a gem hidden beneath The Royal Exchange. The space feels intimate and romantic, brought to life by the rows upon rows of candles for The Wedding Breakfast. As a photographer whose style leans toward moody, I loved being able to capture the ambient light and cosiness of the room.
